The AXIA Public Relations Firm’s Jacksonville office at 200 E. Forsyth St. donated its services to The Desire Cup, a charity golf tournament held at The Players Stadium Course at Sawgrass during Florida-Georgia weekend. The Desire Cup featured a sold-out Ryder Cup format pinning 40 Georgia Bulldog twosomes against 40 Florida Gators twosome golf teams in a head to head inaugural classic.The Georgia Bulldogs won the tournament. Proceeds benefited Desire Street Ministries, where past Heisman trophy winner, Florida Gators national champion and NFL Quarterback Danny Wuerffel is the executive director. The Public Relations Society of America recently added award-winning and accredited public relations counselor and strategist, Jason Mudd, APR of AXIA (ak-see-a) Public Relations, to its Counselors Academy. The Counselors Academy, a professional interest section of PRSA, limits its membership to accredited public relations counselors and consultants with more than 10 years of professional experience who are also PRSA members. Mudd is the only Counselors Academy member representing the North Florida PRSA chapter, according to the national PRSA member directory. He will share his public relations experience and insight to the benefit of other PRSA and Counselors Academy members across the nation, as well as those members’ corporations and clients. More

May 28, 2009 – AXIA raises money for MDA

AXIA Public Relations associate Amanda Burns voluntarily spent her afternoon in “prison” to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s 2009 downtown Jacksonville Lock Up on May 28. Burns, also known as “Prisoner 40762,” received support from colleagues and friends as she raised $3,200 in “bail.” MDA, a volunteer health agency, represents a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.

May 21, 2009 – Fidelity goes green with the FIS GreenLight Initiative and AXIA

Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE:FIS) launched an employee environmental program called “The FIS GreenLight Initiative.” AXIA Public Relations developed marketing tools, including naming the campaign and designing the logo, tagline, a series of three four-color posters and an internal e-newsletter. AXIA rolled out the campaign to 32,000 FIS employees across its 80 domestic offices in early 2009. Plans for an international campaign to FIS global offices with translations are underway.
