Darby Underwood
Public Relations Assistant
Darby graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications. She worked as a reporter, producer and host for UF’s radio and TV stations, Florida’s 89.1 and WUFT-TV. Upon graduation, Darby realized broadcasting wasn’t the right path for her and made the switch to public relations when she got the opportunity to intern for Axia. Darby is from a small town called Lake Placid, Fla. which is known for its caladiums, murals, and population of elderly people. Going to the Keys to fish and scuba dive are her favorite things to do. She also loves going to Vermont during the winter to snowboard. Although traveling is a big passion of hers, she enjoys being home to visit family, go on the lake and ride around in trucks.

Lianna LeMay ensures communications sent by Axia meet current standards. She copy edits and proofreads public relations materials and reviews and corrects typographical, punctuation, capitalization, numbering and typeface errors and ensures AP style standards are met, reworking text to make sure it’s clear and concise and delivers a cohesive message. Mark Howbrook
Public Relations Intern
Mark Howbrook is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida with a talent for writing and conducting research. The opportunity to think creatively and work strategically initially attracted him to public relations. After working at Axia, Mark has also come to appreciate the value of great teamwork and takes pride in watching the success of clients and seeing their businesses grow. During his time at Axia, Mark has discovered an interest in social media, and has learned of its importance as a tool in strengthening brand visibility and reputation. Originally from the U.K., Mark has lived in the Middle East and South America, but has called Central Florida his home for the past 11 years. Mark’s hobbies include swimming and reading. He has a keen interest in history and science-related topics, and admits to being a technology/gadget junkie.
